Give Your Sofa a Fresh Start

Sofas, sectionals, armchairs, recliners, dining chairs and cushions. Movie nights, naps, snacks and pets all leave their mark, and fabric holds onto more than it lets on. We check every piece before cleaning it, because fabrics behave differently.

What We Clean

  • Sofas
  • Couches
  • Loveseats
  • Sectionals
  • Recliners
  • Armchairs
  • Dining chairs
  • Ottomans
  • Cushions

Cotton, viscose, silk, velvet, wool and synthetic blends all react differently to moisture, heat and cleaning products, so we look at the material and how the piece is built before choosing an approach. If a fabric is delicate or we're not certain what it is, we test somewhere out of sight first or go with a gentler method.

Things We See All the Time

  • Seat cushions and arms that have gone dull and grimy
  • Headrests and armrests where hands and hair rest
  • Spilled drinks, snacks and the mystery spot nobody remembers
  • Pet hair and the favourite pet corner
  • That lived-in smell
  • Light fabrics looking a shade greyer than they used to

Most of this improves a lot with a proper clean. Permanent staining, lost dye and worn fibre are a different story, and we'll say so before we start rather than after.

How We Clean It

Step 1

A Look at the Fabric

We check the fabric, how the piece is built, the condition and the areas you're worried about, and flag anything that needs a gentler touch.

Step 2

Pre-Treatment

Products suited to the fabric and the type of soil go on first and get a little time to work.

Step 3

Working the Busy Spots

Where the fabric allows it, heavily used areas are gently worked so the soil releases rather than smears.

Step 4

Extraction and Finishing

Soil and solution are drawn back out with proper equipment when the material suits it, then the piece is groomed and set up to dry.

Drying depends on the fabric, the foam, the weather and the airflow in the room. Cracking a window or running a fan speeds things up.

Some stains clean up beautifully. Others may have permanently changed the colour of the fabric. We'll tell you what looks realistic before you book, not after.
